Zorin

Zorin’s main title and function is Shield Against the Dark. One of the original human deities to survive The Lost‘s ascension to power, Zorin is the deity who imparted the human priests with knowledge to create the new sacrificial altars to sustain the human gods. Zorin was, and continues to be the sun god of the humans, and now the most widely worshiped god in their pantheon. His light is considered the literal power that can hold back and resist The Lost’s darkness (though in truth, it is Orrt’s and Us’ magic that holds his influence to Canto). Due to his actions in elevating human heroes to godhood and maintaining their temporary godhood with his altars, Zorin is considered the embodiment of human tenacity, strength to survive, and everything good and glorious in human culture. Zorin prefers beef, candles, armor, weapons, and strong incense offered to him at his altars.

Zorin appears as a beautifully muscled human male with dark skin and hair of flames. He is always depicted with his warhorse, a white stallion. Both he and his horse wear golden armor, and most temples depict Zorin’s greatest and most tragic moment: hurling his sacred spear into the heart of The Lost, but losing his immortality in the process. Zorin’s holy symbol is a spearhead emblazoned over a fiery sun. His favored weapon is the spear, and his domains are Fire, Glory, Good, Law, Nobility, Protection, Strength, Sun, and War. His alignment is Lawful Good. His clerics traditionally burn incense or a candle with their prayers.
